The Next Few Days May Need More Than One Suitcase.

My calendar is looking ambitious for the next few days ... 

Several journeys. Plenty of meetings. People I am looking forward to seeing, others I will be meeting for the first time, and conversations that may give next year a few interesting additions.

My suitcase has yet to be consulted.

The next few days will be busy, and I am very much looking forward to them.

Some appointments already have a clear purpose. Others leave room to discover what we might do together. There are ideas for next year to discuss, possibilities to explore and quite a few things I would rather tell you about once I have actually been there.

I enjoy that part: arriving with something in mind and hearing a suggestion that makes the whole conversation more interesting.

“Have you thought about…?”

Well, now I have. Please continue.

There should also be time for trouble. The enjoyable kind.

I expect work to occupy a good part of these days.

I also sincerely hope there will be laughter, good food, evenings that become longer than expected and at least one occasion when checking the time feels completely unnecessary.

A full schedule can still accommodate a little adventure.

Although I suspect my definition of “a little” may need reviewing afterwards.

There will be familiar faces, new introductions and the pleasure of spending time with people whose company gives me something to think about—or something to laugh about. Ideally, both.

And somewhere among the journeys and conversations, we will begin giving a more definite shape to a few ideas for next year.

First stop Amsterdam, then tomorrow an airport... 

I won’t announce every possibility before it has had a chance to develop. But I will share moments from the journeys, glimpses of what I am working on and the stories that deserve more than a quick photograph.

You have already seen a first glimpse of the Panigale footage. There is more to come from that, too.

For now, I have a few things to finish, a bag to pack and an optimistic relationship with the amount of time available.

(a car is already outside waiting for me and I still have to finish my packing 🤷‍♀️😂)
