Podcast: Between Us & Our Bodies
Hosted by: Grace
About This Conversation
Life rarely gives us all the information we would like before asking us to make a decision.
Sometimes circumstances change without warning. Sometimes our plans fall apart. And sometimes the greatest challenge is accepting that we cannot control what happens around us.
In this episode of Between Us & Our Bodies, Grace and I explore leadership, performance, adaptability, and the human side of navigating difficult situations.
Drawing from my experience in international sport and business, we discuss how the way we respond to challenges can influence not only our performance but also our confidence, judgment, and relationships with others.
Because experience doesn’t eliminate uncertainty.
It changes how we deal with it.
Topics We Discuss
- Decision-making when circumstances are unpredictable.
- Why adaptability matters more than trying to control everything.
- How experience influences our responses to difficult situations.
- The human side of leadership and high performance.
- Maintaining clarity when things don’t go according to plan.
- Taking responsibility for our actions, even when we cannot influence the outcome.
My Thoughts
I have always believed that trying to control everything around us is an impossible exercise.
People change. Circumstances change. Plans change.
What remains within our responsibility is how we behave, what decisions we make, and what we choose to do next.
And I think there is something incredibly powerful about understanding that distinction.
Not because it makes life predictable.
But because it allows us to keep moving, even when it isn’t.
