Four Days, One Motorcycle, Countless Stories | Behind the Ducati Monster V2 Experience

Sometimes a project becomes much more than the thing you originally planned.

What starts as a few days of filming turns into an experience.

A collection of moments.

Unexpected conversations.

New places.

Beautiful landscapes.

Challenges.

Laughter.

And memories that stay with you long after the cameras are packed away.

The past four days have been exactly that.

A few days ago, a brand-new Ducati Monster V2 arrived in my garage as part of a content project celebrating Ducati’s centenary.

What followed was four unforgettable days spent exploring roads, creating content, meeting incredible people and capturing the first chapter of a story that will continue to evolve in the months ahead.

And what a journey it has been.

The Dutch weather decided to remind us who was in charge.

Sunshine one moment.

Rain the next.

Wind arriving exactly when the drone was finally ready to fly.

Some shots took much longer than expected.

Others happened almost by accident and became some of our favourites.

At one point, we found ourselves completely soaked, laughing, drying equipment, reorganising plans and getting ready to head out again.

And somehow, those unexpected moments became some of the best memories of the entire project.

That is often how creative projects work.

You can plan everything.

But the most memorable moments usually arrive when things do not go according to plan.

One of the most special parts of these days was discovering places I had never visited before.

There is something unique about experiencing a landscape from a motorcycle.

You notice details differently.

You slow down.

You observe more.

You connect with the environment in a way that feels surprisingly direct.

And every road seemed to bring another beautiful surprise.

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the people behind the scenes.

Photographers.

Videographers.

Creative collaborators.

And the people who supported, guided and encouraged me throughout this experience, helping make all of this possible.

Projects like this are never created by one person.

They are built by talented people, shared enthusiasm and the willingness of many individuals to help turn an idea into reality.

For that, I am incredibly grateful.

One of the highlights was also bringing together two Ducatis.

My horse Ducati meeting the Ducati motorcycle for the first time.

A moment I had imagined many times.

And judging by his curiosity, I think he approved.

Watching him observe the motorcycle was one of those unexpected moments that nobody plans, but everyone remembers.

Throughout the project, I was proud to be riding in Alpinestars gear and my Shoei helmet, equipment that accompanied me through every kilometre, every weather change and every filming location.

Now, as I look back on these four days, I realise something.

The footage is beautiful.

The locations were incredible.

The motorcycle exceeded every expectation.

Most of all, I feel grateful.

Grateful for having been given this opportunity and for choosing to embrace it wholeheartedly.

Grateful for the experiences, the people, the challenges and the moments that became part of this journey.

Looking back, I realise once again that some of the most rewarding experiences in life begin with a simple decision:

to say yes when an opportunity appears and then give it your very best.

But what I will remember most are the experiences.

The people.

The atmosphere.

The feeling of building something special together.

This is only the beginning.

The first chapter has now been captured.

The editing process is underway.

And the next chapters are already taking shape.

The first video will be released soon.

And as the editing process begins, I find myself feeling exactly the same way I felt on the first day:

excited to see where this journey leads next.
