Two Wins, One Special Day: Ducati Wins the Grand Prix Special

Published on 4 September 2026 at 22:37

There are days when everything feels quiet, controlled and perfectly measured.

And then there are days when your horse enters the warm-up arena charged like a bomb.

Today was the second kind.

Ducati was pure energy. Powerful, electric, almost explosive—but at the same time, he felt like clockwork. Every movement was there. Every reaction was immediate.

The challenge was not to create more energy.

Believe me, we had plenty. 😂

The challenge was to direct it.

And that is exactly what we managed to do.

Ducati is a big horse, with enormous strength and power, but he is also incredibly sensitive. With a horse like him, concentration is not optional. You have to be completely present, because the smallest signal matters.

Over the years, we have built a feeling between us that is truly unique.

When we enter the arena, I support him—and he supports me.

We are both in total focus, connected by one clear objective: to keep doing better.
And I genuinely feel that desire in him. He doesn’t simply perform the movements; he wants to be there, to work with me and to give more.

When we entered the arena for the Grand Prix Special, all that power began to work with us. Ducati transformed it into focus, precision and expression—and produced one of those tests that feels almost painted rather than ridden.

Movement after movement, everything flowed.

He was present. I was present.

And somewhere between the wind—which was doing its absolute best to become part of the competition—and the occasional rain, we genuinely enjoyed ourselves.

That may have been the most beautiful part of the day.

It didn’t feel like a battle for control.

It felt like two athletes taking something enormous and shaping it together.

The result?

Victory in the Grand Prix Special with 71.06%.

But apparently, Ducati wasn’t the only one bringing something home.

I also received the award for Most Elegant Rider. 🤍

So, in the end, we divided the responsibilities rather well:

He took care of the Grand Prix.
I took care of the dress code. 😂

Two wins. One very good day.

But behind those two prizes was something even better: a horse full of power, a partnership built over years, and the feeling that neither of us was carrying the other.

We were supporting each other.

Because the finest work is not always about making energy smaller.

Sometimes, it is about trusting the connection you have built, giving all that energy the right direction—and letting it become something beautiful. 🏆✨
