The Rider’s Body — What I Learned After Years of Training 😉

Published on 5 December 2025 at 15:05

Your body keeps score — especially in the arena.

The rider’s body is a strange instrument.

It needs to be strong enough to support the horse, light enough to follow it, and sensitive enough to feel every detail.

Years of training taught me that the real work isn’t about the big movements — it’s about awareness. How you breathe, how you stabilize your spine, how you carry tension, how you let it go. 🫴

The gym builds strength.

Pilates builds balance.

But body awareness builds everything.

Some days, the most important part of my training is one simple stretch that resets my back. Other days, it’s ten minutes of breathing that brings clarity before riding. The body always tells the truth — you just have to listen.

And the more you listen, the better you move.❤️

In life, and in the saddle.
