Recently I had traveled a lot ... and I have been fascinated by the amount of secrets that an hotel room can hide ....
let's explore them together...
I can appreciate a beautiful hotel room.
The bed. The fabrics. The lighting.
Especially the lighting, which apparently requires an induction course.
I would like to turn off the lamp beside me.
A modest ambition.
I press a button. The curtains close.🤷♀️😂
Interesting.
Another button illuminates something beneath the bed.... We can now locate a missing earring, but we cannot go to sleep.
There is a panel offering several moods.
I had one when I arrived. It is changing.
Eventually, I discover “Goodnight.”
Wonderful. Someone has anticipated my needs.
The room goes dark. All of it. Including the socket charging my phone.
I sit up.
The floor lights return, delighted to see me.
I do love the extraordinary optimism behind these designs. Somewhere, someone imagined a guest reclining gracefully while adjusting the atmosphere with one finger.
They did not imagine me walking around in the dark, pressing things experimentally and accidentally requesting housekeeping.
The bathroom offers further opportunities for personal development.
There are three controls in the shower. One determines temperature. One chooses where the water comes from. The third is apparently a surprise.
By morning, I have learned enough to live there comfortably.
Naturally, it is time to check out.
